Refund and Cancellation Policy

Please read this policy carefully before purchasing any services from Davis Academy Driving School. By purchasing any package or lesson, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

PACKAGE POLICY

  • All packages are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • All packages are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
  • Packages not completed within one year may be reactivated for an additional reactivation fee.

PAYMENT POLICY

Payment is required in advance to reserve and hold your appointment.

Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed until payment has been received.

BEHIND-THE-WHEEL LESSONS

Students must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson.

If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, or if the student fails to appear for the scheduled lesson, a $65 cancellation/no-show fee will be charged.

Our 48-hour cancellation policy is strictly enforced.

A NO-SHOW FEE WILL ALSO APPLY IF:

  • The student does not have a valid California learner’s permit at the lesson.
  • The student’s permit has expired.
  • The student is not present at the scheduled pickup location.
  • The pickup location is changed without giving at least 24-48 hours’ advance notice.
  • Incorrect scheduling information was provided by the student or parent and was not verified before the appointment.
  • The student refuses the lesson after the instructor has arrived at the scheduled pickup location.

OFFICE CLOSURES

If our office is closed, you may leave a voicemail or send a text message requesting to cancel or reschedule your lesson.

The date and time your message is received will determine whether the required 48-hour notice was given.

Please note that instructors do not have access to office scheduling systems and cannot make appointment changes.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

The Certificate of Completion will not be issued until:

  • All required behind-the-wheel lessons have been completed.
  • Any outstanding balances have been paid.
  • Any cancellation, no-show, reactivation, certificate replacement, or other applicable fees have been paid.

A replacement Certificate of Completion is available for an additional fee if the original certificate has been lost.

Certificates are typically mailed within 5-7 business days after the student successfully completes the final behind-the-wheel lesson and all account requirements have been satisfied.

ADDITIONAL POLICIES

Parents and students are responsible for reading and understanding all school policies before purchasing lessons or packages.

Davis Academy Driving School reserves the right to modify pricing, policies, service areas, and scheduling procedures without prior notice.
